In a typical day, I eat a narrow and intentionally-boring range of foods.
- Eggs (e.g. egg casserole)
- Hamburgers, roast or steak
- Hard cheeses
- Coffee with heavy whipping cream (usually limited to 3 cups per day)
- Bacon (typically made in a batch and frozen, microwaved as a kind of "snack")
- Seafood about once per week (Salmon or buttered boiled shrimp)
- Chicken (especially dark meat), including Rotisserie Chicken from the grocery store.
- BBQ pulled pork and brisket (watch out for sauces full of sugar)
- Occasional (for variety)
- Nuts (NOT peanuts. I like a mixture of pecans, walnuts, almonds and macadamia nuts). Maximum 1/4 cup
- A spoonful of almond butter
- Some unsweetened coconut flakes
- Some fruit with whipped cream (see recipe)
- A fresh orange (about once per week)
